Gone Phishing

There has been another surge in phishing emails purported to come from HMRC.

A number of clients will be expecting a tax refund this year, and may not be aware that a direct communication from HMRC would never be made.

Those operating these frauds are relying on this fact and seeking to trap the unwary into giving away confidential information such as bank details or even HMRC log-on information.

Please be aware that you should not respond to direct email communication which appears to come from HMRC.
